Cut and restored, with a baffling climax.

A Solid red string and two white strings are displayed inside of a frame.
When the magician pulls both ends of the white strings, they suddenly join together into a solid white string.
At the same time, the red string magically divides into two separate pieces.
Finally, a selected portion of the red string jumps over to the center of the white string!

No practice is necessary. By simply pulling the strings, you can automatically cause the red string or white string to become cut at will.
The unexpected climax of a red portion jumping onto the white string will baffle everyone.
In the Edo Period of Japan (1600~1868), magicians who specialized in clever gadgets created a large number of interesting devices. These included such items as automated dolls which would serve tea, as well as puppets which were manipulated by strings. Even today, if we were to look back at the mechanics utilized in these systems, we are fascinated by their complexity, This brand new trick is reminiscent of the gadgets which were used in the Edo Period, but was created by a New York magician, Jeff Sheridan, in cooperation with Tenyo.
