The cards are dealt into two piles until the spectator calls "Stop."
Each of those piles is then dealt into two more piles, creating a total of four piles on the table.
Finally, the top card of each pile is turned over...
L – O – V – E
The four cards amazingly spell LOVE.
Sample Effect #2
The deck is shuffled, then the top card is retrieved out of the deck, which shows "G."
Next, the magician riffles the cards as the spectator freely calls "Stop."
The cards at the point where they stopped are turned face-up.
The top two cards at that division point are removed from the deck.
The process is repeated once more.
The five cards magically spell M – A – G – I – C.
