The magician shows 4 identical cards; each has a red back.
He replaces one of them with a card which has a different colored back.
The replaced card also has a big hole in the center.
Now the back of each card in the packet changes its color, so they match the replaced card.
The faces also change so that they match the replaced card.
Also, all four cards have big holes in the center.
Next, one of the cards is replaced by a card with a square-shaped hole.
The card with the square-shaped hole is blank on both sides.
Now all cards in the packet change into cards with square-shaped holes.
All cards are also blank on both sides.
The cards are handed out to the spectators for examination.

The color and the face you receive may vary. (The effect always starts with red-backed cards and finishes with blank cards. For the cards for the first change, the faces and back color may vary.)
