Two playing cards are inserted into the Glass Board.
Between these cards is sandwiched a solid sheet of clear plastic.
A pencil is now pushed completely through this sheet of plastic, and a silk pulled through it.
When the cards are removed the audience can inspect the board and not understand how the trick is done.
