Magician invites the spectator to play “Magic Maze”.
First, the magician shows a sheet that 5 “start” spots (1 to 5) and 5 “goal” spots (A to E) are printed and asks the spectator to freely choose any “goal” spot from A to E as a winning spot.
In addition, the magician asks the spectator to choose any 4 “start” spots from 1 to 5 for themselves. The 1 remaining (unchosen) “spot” is for the magician. It’s obvious that the spectator definitely has more chances to win.
The sheet is unfolded. The spectator finds there is nothing printed between start and goal.
Next, magician hands out 4 maze cards that the maze(lines) on each card are randomly crossing. Then asks the spectator to freely (NO force or lead AT ALL) arrange 4 cards with their favorite order and direction to complete (finalize) the maze.
Finally, the game starts. The spectator starts moving by following lines from 4 “start” spots they’ve chosen.
All 4 spots they've chosen reach to "losing goal". The remaining starting spot which is for magician reaches to "winning goal".
Everything that determines the “winning” is chosen by the spectator, however, you (magician) always win the game. Any Kind of Forcing is NOT used from the beginning to the end.
One of winning Japan Toy Awards 2016 was given to this creation for the "Cleverness" and "Innovative ideas".
