A high-tech visual mystery from Ton Onosaka.
Here is a routine that allows you to produce just such a startling transformation live and up close!!
A spectator selects one of six design cards.
A transparent sheet of patterned plastic is held over a mirror.
Eerily, a design appears in the mirror, even though it cannot be seen on the sheet itself.
However, it's the wrong one!
"Oh!" exclaims the magician, "That was the design selected in the previous show!"
He slides the sheet off of the mirror, and as he does the design visibly transforms into the chosen one.
Once again the sheet is slid across the mirror, and this time the design disappears!
