It has the exact appearance and size of a real hammer.
Because it has been constructed with very light latex, it can be thrown to the audience.
You start by talking to the audience about classic magicians and how they were famous for throwing a flower to the audience in every show so that the spectator who receives the flower becomes the volunteer to assist the magician for the next trick.
Then you explain that you are not a classic magician, so you brought a hammer instead, and then you toss it to the audience to get them on the edge of their seats with this memorable and quirky gag.
