First the pros: The trick is smart and deceptive in how it works though I already had an idea and was right. As a kid we had weeds here in Texas we called 'Foxtails' that we could cause to move due to a certain aspect of their design. The exact same principle applies to this trick's secret. It's smart and deceptive as the video demonstration and tutorial teaches. The 'extra' that comes with it and necessary for doing the tricks demoed, has been thought out where the usual 'click' sound inherent in some Tenyo magic is elimated. The props are typical Tenyo quality, the small long thin mat being the weakest. The eraser looks totally 'magic prop' but is examinable. I'd be willing to bet however other mats which have a certain property to them could be used. I've seen mats that have said property.
Now the cons: The props (eraser and mat) are much smaller than pictured on the box and the video demos I'm guessing a relatively small-handed person is performing it. This isn't a bad thing perse as that makes it more carry-able. That also being said, if you do choose to carry it you won't be able to do the effects that are demoed. There's another 'piece' (I wouldn't call it a gimmick perse) that is used for the tricks in the video. If it's attached to the mat, carry would be impossible. Along this line, the trick requires you sitting and with a table cloth should someone choose to look below the table.
The eraser and mat aren't gimmicked in the typical fashion of the term. Together, they do allow a certain thing to happen but it's something a spectator won't figure out in casual examination.
This trick is a near '4' star but in my opinion not a full '4' which is why I give it a '3'. For the collector, here you go, another Tenyo creation for your shelf.
